Retford Archaeology Metal Detecting Group
Metal detecting club in Retford, Nottinghamshire
Archaeology is more than a word in the name here — Retford's group has completed a community excavation at Littleborough, has two more possible sites in view, and is raising funds to keep the work going. There's a museum project on top of that.
The club side runs alongside: meetings are held on the first Thursday evening of each month, new members are welcome, and £2 on the door covers the room rent. The group is NCMD registered. Email for more information.
Thinking of joining? Get in touch with the club directly using the links here — and if you're still choosing your first metal detector, sort that before your first dig.
Map shows the club's approximate home area (Retford, Nottinghamshire), not a dig site or meeting venue. Contact the club for exact details.
