The Soil Searchers - Metal Detecting Group
Metal detecting club in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Wiltshire
Founded in 2016, The Soil Searchers run day digs and full weekends across Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. Their approach is deliberate: keep attendance low and the acreage high, so you get a proper day's metal detecting without fighting for space on a crowded field.
Members' finds have made it into detecting magazines, and the group keeps securing fresh land. To book onto a dig you'll need to register as a member through their website first.
Thinking of joining? Get in touch with the club directly using the links here — and if you're still choosing your first metal detector, sort that before your first dig.
Map shows the club's approximate home area (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Wiltshire), not a dig site or meeting venue. Contact the club for exact details.
