NERDS - North & East Riding Detecting Squad

NERDS take the responsible side of metal detecting seriously. Covering the North and East Riding of Yorkshire, the club works with local archaeologists, has its own PAS self-recorders, and sticks firmly to Treasure Act and recording requirements. It's a private club — no open digs, and events are for members only.

Funds raised go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Members wear branded high-visibility clothing in the field, and the culture is built around buddying up and sharing rather than everyone going it alone.
