The Soil Searchers

With around 8,000 members in its community, The Soil Searchers is one of the bigger detecting outfits in the south. The club runs day digs and weekenders, mostly across Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire, and aims to get a dig on most weeks when permissions allow.

A day's detecting currently costs £20, and the club is NCMD registered. Newcomers are as welcome as old hands — the emphasis is on a good day out in the field rather than anything po-faced.
