Spades Metal Detecting Club

If big rallies with hundreds of diggers aren't your thing, Spades might suit you. This Coventry-based club deliberately keeps its organised digs small, searching land in and around the Midlands, and welcomes beginners and experienced detectorists alike.

Digs cost £15 per detectorist, with spade carriers and under-16s free, and you'll need valid insurance such as NCMD or FID. Rough details go up in advance, with the exact location revealed the night before. Anything found worth £500 or more is split 50/50 with the farmer.
